Statistical

Statistical - Calculation of Standard Deviation, Variance, Regression Analysis, Normal Distribution, and concept of calculation of other statistics can be accessed through the functions contained in Microsoft Excel. The use of function-related statistics must be supported by a strong enough understanding of the science of statistics so that the use of function does not deviate from the actual calculation. Compared with other application programs, the calculation of statistical functions in Microsoft Excel could be faster due to a range of facilities that can accommodate a number of cell data.

Not need complicated first deh. We start with:

Character count the cells containing.

COUNT and COUNTA functions

Both of the above functions, is used to count cells that contain numbers. The difference, COUNTA function not only count cells that contain numbers, but can also count cells that contain any characters.

syntax:

COUNT (value1, Value2, ...)

COUNTA (value1, Value2, ...)

Value1, Value2, ...: Argument 1 to 30 that indicates the value to be calculated. Example: The formula COUNT (A1: C4) count of cells A1 through C4, formula COUNT (A1: C4, 23) count of cells A1 through C4 and the value 23.

example:

Type data in cells A1: B4.

In cell C2: CD3, type the formula to COUNT and COUNTA functions, then press.

Formula COUNT (A1: B4) counts the number of cells consisting of the numbers of cells B2 and B3.

Formula COUNTA (A1: B4) counts the number of cells consisting of numbers and text unless the cell B4
